We’re marching into March with Autumn leaves falling, cooler weather starting, and more hearty ingredients hitting the plates. Cheese takes a front seat, pairing the more earthy flavours with creamier products like yoghurt, burrata, stracciatella, and persian feta. Persimmons and pears are back in season, and chefs are working out ways to incorporate our cheese with this delicious seasonal produce. This month, we give pancakes an interesting face lift, taking the Sunday morning favourite to the next level with juicy figs (just before they finish up for the year!) and tell you about an exciting new woodfired pizza class featuring lots of cheese!
Sourdough! It was the sensation of 2020, and it’s here to stay. We know feeding your little baby can leave you with leftovers, so don’t throw out your leftover starter, make this recipe to use up any starter discard you may have laying around and have fluffy wholemeal sourdough pancakes for brunch paired with our tangy Buffalo Yoghurt and baked figs.

Learn how to mix and ferment beautiful pizza dough, top with a variety of Vannella Cheese products and cook it yourself in a professional wood burning oven at 400°C in under 90 seconds. Joining Anthony is our friend John Campbell from Provenance Flour & Malt who is supplying his single origin flour for the class, as he takes you through the cycle of sustainable wheat growing to how it’s expertly milled into the flour we use for pizza. (Tip: Come hungry. You’ll be eating plenty of incredible slices!)
